And for the students to learn how to make their own CV.

But please not that this format is for TOP use only.

Netiquette

Disclaimer: This might be T.O.P. forum specific at times. I will try to be as general as I possibly can.

1. The key work is RESPECT.

If you need me to explain this to you, you need to go back to your GMRC classes and retake basic human respect. Seriously. Or google the dictionary meaning of respect.

I have a firm my blog, my opinion policy.Whatever I write on my personal blog is my opinion. If I am in a social site or a forum, I try to respect the opinion of other people. If I disagree with them I make sure I don't use fallacies like attacking their person so I can debunk their premise or conclusion.
That just show that you are dumber than the other person.

2. Quote only the parts you agree in.

It's a little difficult to read through a dozen quotes just to find a smiley in the end. It takes up space. So if you must, quote the parts that you want to react to not the entire conversation.

3. Own up to your words.

I hate people who troll other people's sites and forums as Anonymous. I mean, if you have an opinion, express it and own up to it.

4. Nonfiction not fiction, if you can, stick to the truth.

I have encountered a lot of liars online. It seems to be a thing for a time. But if one wants to make real friends, then it's best to tell them who you really are and what you really are.

Since we are living almost half of our lives through our profiles, we need to make sure that 98% of our online self is the real us. We can keep the 2% for our deep dark secrets and for the photoshoped versions of ourselves.

I would hate to know that the real person behind the online persona that I liked or befriended is pure fiction. I would not believe anything else that person would say after that. Liars, offline and online are lame.

5. Use your words.

Smileys and jejemon speak is a big no-no. Especially if the forum that you are in include people from all walks of life. This is a mortal sin if you are in a writing site or a writer's forum.

No matter the reason, it's unacceptable, irritating and downright dumb. (I know I am being harsh but the truth often hurts.)

So all in all, there are a million other things we do wrong online. Don't even start on my hentai addiction. (opps...did I say that out loud? *makes penance*) But although the internet is a tool that is neither good or evil, so was the Orb of Aldur. (if you understood that reference and you are a single guy, call me. ^_^)
What we do with it and what we will it to do determines whether or not WE are the good guy or the bad guy.

So respect your neighbors, and by neighbors I mean other netizens.

Capish?

How to Get Referrals

I am having a hard time getting people to join the sites I am in. Peoplestring and Yuwie are no Facebook.  I gave Josh some advice on how to make entries related to what we do. I told him about the keyword rich method and the low-key one. I can't remember what it's called but I described it to him.
I am thinking maybe I can tap into those people who are on my gamer list. They are online most of the time anyway, why not help them use that for earning some money.
Josh said he would be glad to train anyone who comes in through me since I am a dunce when it comes to this. ^_^ He's a nice guy. I just hope I get someone soon to help him out as well. Now, if I only did SEO better then I could help him out more. Oh well, more to learn.
The funny thing is that someone sent me a message asking me to be friends with him. This is complete with compliments and all of that. And it wasn't in Yuwie. I simply told him that I am not really into men but thank you. I ended it as nicely and as formaly with a sir so that he would know that I was not trying to be mean or bitchy. I have this ability to make friends from sites that otherwise would not be where you would find one. One is enough though, I don't really need anymore. Josh said there aren't any oddballs in Peoplestring. And by oddballs I men hentai men. ^_^ Look up what hentai means in Japanese and you'll get my point. As for me I can handle my own when something like that happens.

I just really might need to go back to SEO writing since my paycheck is proving to be peanuts. But I need to get the comics that I am making and the editing that agreed to do before I can get around to doing something like that again.

More motivation to give

My father is a half-Ilocano, half-Batangueno.

I don't speak Ilocano so I felt out of place when I visited Angadanan(This is where they built my grandparent's home - they passed away already) and Alicia (my dad grew up there, in front of a school.)

When I checked the places where they give donations to they had one that was in Isabela.
I am thinking of a way to make it happen that if I do sponsor a child, I would sponsor one that was a Last Chance Kid but who is in Isabela. I am hoping that is possible. ^_^

Still thinking about doing the 600 monthly thing even with my meager pay...attracting good things in one's life might do me a lot of good. ^_^

If you want to learn more about LAST CHANCE KIDS, check it out here.

This is the form that you would need to fill out. But register to the site first. ^_^

I think I can opt for the 600/monthly one and use the bank deposit option. I would just need to download the child sponsorship form and then fax it.
Another obstacle. I don't have a fax machine...wait, my mom's office has one.
She might have a problem with this since she wants me to pay for my sister's tuition too...hmmm..challenges.

She inspired me to give

Are you looking for a charity to support?

Read up on how one of my online friends talk about her chosen charity, World Vision.

I wish I could do this too.

Sucks to be Googled

Like I mentioned in my introduction, I accidentally deleted everything in my google account because I had wanted to make my Google Adsense payee name to show my first name with the spanish n. The thing is that I can't seem to make a new one or maybe it's just taking a long time for google to process the cancellation form and the submission form. So for now, my google adsense is stuck.

It might have been better had my friend's advice come sooner regarding the fact that I could have found a more lenient Western Union to cash in my check. (I haven't gotten one since I haven't reached the limit that would let me put in any payment information.) This is okay since I am still processing my government IDs. Yes, I have the paperwork but not the actual IDs. I blame my laziness and bureaucracy. I was supposed to get them during the Chuseok holiday but I was too lazy to do so. T_T Laziness - 2 Me - 0

So I wonder when I would get around to linking my xomba account as well as these new blogs to google adsense. But had they accepted my name with the spanish n before, this wouldn't have happened.

Sucks to be me right now. Still, I'll wait. Patience is a virtue. I am doing this for charity after all. ^_^

My other "Charity"

I don't really know if anyone is wondering but why would I want to donate to a site that is for tagalog pocketbook writers?

First of all, it is being ran on sheer love and meager funds.
We don't have an affiliate publishing house but we have some really promising writers.

The sad truth is having a domain name requires money. The amount of stories and data we put into the site requires a higher bandwidth or something. ( I am obviously not versed in this subject so I'll drop it.)

The only means to earn is by means of the e-books.
Since I "accidentally" promoted to EIC I began to care more.
I wondered what I could do to help ease the financial burden.
Again I want to hit my head on the wall for not saving when my pay was thrice it was than now. T_T

So while the official page is being revived, we had to go back to WordPress.

I need to keep this one since I might do this someday. I should tell the mod to put a paypal button on the page, I think. I wonder how that is done? (*must research*)

Merly Isidro ay nagsabing:

Ask ko lang po mag donate po ako true paypal? paano po procedure? ska po kung bibilhin ko po yung mga ebooks paano din po? pls. reply ASAP….

1. Login to your paypal account
2. From your dashboard, select Send Money
3. In to field, enter “support@tagalogonlinepocketbook.com” and the amount that you wish to donate
4. Click continue and confirm

Entre Card

I had one before but I didn't really understand what it's for. I plan to change that. I downloaded the pdf file from the website and I plan to learn more about it.

Got any advice about entre card? Please leave a link in the comment box. Remember, SAY NO TO SPAM. ^_^

Convincing people to join

I am a pretty persuasive person but I have to try my best not to lead people astray. So I would try my best to make sure something isn't a scam before I recommend it to my friends.

World Vision PH

I learned about it while I was walking around Megamall. And since that day, I have wanted to be a sponsor. But I never got around to doing it when I was still "rich". I am really hoping I would be able to earn enough to help out.

If you are from the Philippines and you want to help out, feel free to look around their site to find out more.

They also have a Facebook account, if you are into that kind of liking stuff. ^_^ Like it and be inspired to help.

I have a friend who works in Riyadh and she is helping out a student. The child gets support and my friends gets warm fuzzies. So it's not really a self-less act. Sponsors help in feeding their minds and the children as well as the mere act of helping feeds the soul.

Changing Payee Name for Google Adsense

My first name has a special character. I wanted to change my payee name since it had to have the spanish ñ so I could cash out in the future. I ended up deleting my account which only had $1 dollar. ^_^ I wanted to use a different gmail for my google account and I ended up deleting the old one.

The catch, my entire blog life (all 4 of them) was deleted along with it.

I was starting out this doll dress making blog and I couldn't retrieve the instructions that I put there. But I could always put it back together. I lost my old story that had it's own site. But because of an advice from a friend I was able to get the data from my old journal site. I was really grateful because I was able to get the rant blogs that I made no other copies of. Although it's unfortunate that the pictures that I had there are lost to me, at least I would still have the words that came out of me during that time.

I find myself getting a bit bored at time with just writing and putting things on my shoutout so I want to play for money too. I didn't realize that all that time I wasted playing games was actually making other people slightly richer every moment.

I do hope they make cuter games but for now, this seems like a good place to start. Playing Mad Millions  can help me think of what I could possibly do if I had a lot of money. Not that I actually want to be a millionaire. But that would be cool as a fantasy, don't you think so?

Going back to Google Adsense, I needed it for my possible xomba account. But the thing is that I might have jumped the gun when I made a new one immediately after I canceled my old account. Google Adsense told me that I had an existing adsense connected to my yahoo account. Darn it. I was so pissed I actually sent a reply to a no reply e-mail. I know, stupid but I had to vent out. Now I know why people are grumbling about this whole Google Adsense thing before.

The sad truth is if your account is based in the Philippines, your only option is to get the account cancelled then make a new one. Darn it. Anyway. I hope I get accepted soon since I plan to write more ad information to my sites. I will still keep my Journal alive but I am thinking of making this blog about money making, a blog about the dolls and another one for writing, more like a how-to. I might also have a site purely for poetry. Then I could just link it out from my blog.

I had promised myself not to have too many blogs but if I put them all in one, I realize that people can get rather confused.

Anyway, I hope Adsense gets back to me soon. I am trying to earn for charity after all. And it pays to do some good if only one can.

So in case you are interested to help me out,

Why I want to earn online

I am earning peanuts at work.
It's barely enough for me and the bills I have to pay since I am trying to be fully independent of my parents. I still owe them a considerable amount of money. More of less thirty thousand. I had to buy a laptop for my online writing gig but after getting it and paying for it I ended up being busy with my day job and other things so I couldn't write on for Essays.ph on a daily basis.

I used to make quite a bit but my previous company kicked us out just becase they wanted to pay people less than what they used to. They moved their office from Ortigas to Cebu since one of me could pay for four employees over there. I guess I am a bit pissed off about all of it but I didn't want to just hang out at home and run out of money.

As if putting salt on an open wound, my roomates, one of which promised me that if I moved where they were they would never leave me hanging. Thingss started to go bad when two of my roommates found a new room and they were leaving soon. I got the news two weeks before we were officially supposed to leave. I was getting backpay from my previous company and I had wanted to save it in a bank account. But I had to use almost all of it trying move to a new place and paying for a new place to live. So now, I didn't have the cushion that I wanted and was working for a third of what I what I used to earn.

I love to write and since I am an online english teacher (phone english teacher now), I am always online at work and at home. I figured I could use that to be able to earn a little more peanuts.

I tried looking for places where I can use my creative skills (I was a writing major and a part time seo writer after all) but didn't require me to have a boss who would nag me all the time. If I wanted to do that then I could've stayed in the ghost writing business. But when I found this tagalog online pocketbook site it felt like I found a niche to write about my favorite thing, love stories. ^_^

That is why the title of this blog is WILL WRITE FOR GILS. ^_^ This is where I will chronicle my writing schemes and online money-making schemes. In the forum site for T.O.P.whenever we wrote something an appropriate amount of gils were accounted to the user's name.

Eventually those gils can be used to buy things like e-books or scroll or cute pokemon avatars. So I figured maybe there was a way for a creative writer not to have to just write for free. Time after all is something worth it's weight in gold. I tried ppt sites before and I got really bored. I figured could try again. ^_^

I renewed my Yuwie account.
and will blog there once in a while. I hope I can get more people to join me there. I met Kuya Ryan there, a half-Filipino ex soldier. He is very nice and not at all as pervy as some of the people one meets online. ^_^ I figured I can make more friends like him.

Then there is peoplestring.com. I found about it after clicking a line that said Has facebook paid you? I met Joshua Anton. It was his refer link that I clicked and so he was helping me to figure things out in peoplestring.

He seemed like a nice guy so I am not worried. As long as I don't get asked to dish out a centavo on this whole thing then I would continue with it.

My motivation is so that I can donate some money to WORLD VISION here in the Philippines. Even if it's just in a one shot kind of way. Then I also want to donate to the T.O.P. site so that I could help the expenses we have for maintaining the site and other things.

I also want to learn a lot of things this year. I want to learn how to handle bank transactions, use google adsense, alertpay as well as paypal.

I just hope I don't run into any scams.

I joined the geostring thing that asks people to invite and link people. No harm done in trying. ^_^ I just try to explain to my friends that they are getting something in their spam mail and that it is from me. This way they don't accidentally delete it.

I have an alertpay now too. Sad thing is they don't like ñ as well. Damn it for having a name with a special character.

I have a funny story about my google adsense and how hopeless I am. So if you have time, then stick around and read up.

Also I will try to write about what I experience as I go along. If I ever catch any nice simple tips then I will write them here.

But please be aware that I am a newbie and a dummy half of the time. This blog is intended to help me remember things as well as help those who are like me.

Good luck on your money making schemes. If you are a spammer, get off my blog. If you are a schemer, leave me alone. Arigato. Sayonara.
